Syncro Flame Motor that drives the fire less flame tube. Motor 217 is located in back of the fireplaces log set and screen. This small motor and gear set when failing will make a very shrill noise. It will sometimes lock up and the flames will not move inside the fireplace. In severe cases it will short out and set off the reset button. New updated motors have a quick release wire harness. When installing in older units this coupling is cut away and simply wire nutted into wire harness. Labor time is about 40 minutes including removing heater box from cabinet. Older models of 2007 & 2008 should use motor 443. This Flame Motor has very long black and white wire that reach directly into the top of the cabinet and attach directly to the PSB power board.
